I paint the pet portraits with artist quality soft pastel. The brilliant colors & characteristic of soft pastels brings to life an expressive style influenced by painters such as Degas, Matisse, etc.
Photographs are used for references only so that each work of art is painterly expressed and unique. You may have great photo shots capturing the right moments of your furry friend and would like to turn it into Fine Art.
Your photos are important. Clear shoots and several choices would be best. All ideas are possibilities and will be discussed during the photo referencing.
What to do:
1. Get out the photographs and search through them selecting the ones that speak about that animals personality, poise, expressions, goofy poses, etc.
2. Jpeg images sent email is great but will accept other formats when discussed (example: before digital photos).
3. The full payment for the portrait plus shipping & postage, will be paid before the start of the painting.
4. You will need a fine art framer to put the completed portrait behind glass for preservation. Ask for more information on framing pastels.
