One Painting 15 years to Completion

 

When asked, "How long did it take to finish a work of art?", the answer for 'The Empress Moon Meditates Upon the Rose of Gratitude' is a testament to dedication and perseverance. It took 15 years, a journey marked by changes and evolution, a true reflection of the artist's unwavering commitment and unyielding passion.

Originating from France, the Clairefontaine PastelMat Paper found its way to Nova Scotia, a rare discovery.  Winning two sets of this unique pastel paper in an online auction was a thrilling moment. This brand is not commonly found in local art stores, making it a novel and exciting addition to my pastel collection.

Holbein Acrylic Gouache Review

 

This winter I enjoyed playing with the new 5 Color Holbein Acrylic Gouache set while always looking for a product that performs well with multi-media artworks, adding pens & watercolor. It turns out that Holbein Acrylic Gouache has unique attributes that combine the durability of acrylic paint with the matte surface quality of traditional water-based gouache.
