Art Deco or otherwise known as Le Style 25 started with the luxuriant French school of design that got a lot of attention during the 1925 Paris World's Fair. Today, many of us love Art Deco in its fluidity of curvy designs that have been used to decorate our homes, objects d'art, and architecture.

Art Deco is one of my favorite eras of design that uses the nude motif. Gloriously the Art Deco NUDE is displayed on common objects like pots and lamps, offered to those who are not afraid of the beautiful human shape. Looking back where my passion for the nude in art and design is definitely influenced by growing up in Europe.

Copying art is a long-time learning process to see how the originator might have expressed their art. Drawing art deco sketches is downloading ideas and methods for creating influences in the future of my own art making.
Go get a sketchbook, study something, and plunge into the deeper mind of seeing, promise you something will be revealed in a profound way.
