The 'Modern Spice' pillow is a unique creation, designed with a varied combination of stitches. Just as I would when cooking with international spices, I've added a little of this and that to create a one-of-a-kind blend of colors and textures for this exotic pillow.
Patons Classic 100% wool in Denim Blue (back cover) paired with Turquoise Blue and Burnt Orange for the front cover creates a warm and comfortable pillow.
I enjoy exploring new stitches in embroidery, knitting, and crocheting online. I found a crochet flower stitch in English to finish off the edges of the 'Modern Spice' pillow. I had a lot of fun learning the flower stitch and using the colorful multi-color sock yarn to add further SPICE to the pillow's color combinations.

The peach silky yarn is like a rope with silky threads and is very difficult to work with, but I managed to use it as a detail for a stitch I made up, looking like wheat grasses, and used the same yarn to single crochet a border around the pillow cover.
My Pom Pom maker is an antique fork, and I learned online how to use a fork to create a small-sized pom pom, adding texture to an otherwise flat surface. I am loving the use of multi-color sock yarn for small Pom Poms.
