Pet Portrait, 12" x 9", gouache and black paper. What a cute little dog... everyone who saw this fine fellow. Always prancing about, Ziggy was a flamenco dancer in his last life!! But at the end of a busy day, it was all about PILLOWS.

A commission for a dog portrait came about this summer.  I got to learn a little about the breed Chow Chow and reach out to the spirit of BEAR through oil paint. I hoped to capture his furry magnificence and the essence of his personality.

As we bid farewell to winter, March was a time of rejuvenation, where I brought 22 pet portraits to life, infusing the reading room of the newly renovated Musquodoboit Harbour Library with vibrant SMILES. On May 27th, in the community workroom, I shared the unique allure of pastels, with 'Flower Bud is my Name' taking center stage.
